Strict quality inspections

All Bio-Nahrungsmittel products must fulfil our strict criteria regarding appearance, consistency, taste, smell and hygiene, and are tested by our trained quality-control staff. The regular control of packed produce against raw materials ensures that only products in perfect condition reach traders and consumers.

Bio-Nahrungsmittel’s analysis plan, based on our own strict criteria, obliges suppliers to submit the results of tests (for pesticide residues, microbiology, mycotoxins, heavy metals etc.) conducted by accredited laboratories.

We are therefore able to guarantee that our complete range of products complies with current legal regulations.

HACCP-Concept

Adherence to HACCP guidelines ensures that only high-quality and hygienically perfect products reach our customers. Ongoing inspections in accordance with our internal quality-control system ensure full compliance with these regulations.

IFS-quality standards

As we are aware of our responsibility towards consumers, an external inspection of our quality standards is regularly carried out by the auditors of the IFS (International Featured Standard Food).

Our food control system, tried and tested for decades, guarantees the highest product safety. It is therefore no coincidence that we have been meeting this high quality standard since 2005.

CO2 TREATMENT

To prevent pest infestation and development, the products undergo CARVEX CO2 pressurised treatment in our CARVEX unit. Duration and pressure of this treatment is adapted to product properties. It is one of the most effective and diligent ways to keep organic products pest-free.
